Lake Michigan can be circled without entering Canada. You just follow the shore through the U.P. (No, not the Union Pacific, the other U.P.) down through Wisconsin and into Chicago.
This is confusing. That route described is only a partial circle of the Lake's full shoreline, limited to the US side. The Canadian side has shoreline from Thunder Bay to Sault Ste. Marie, in Ontario.
Michigan is the only great lake with no Canadian shoreline. It does, however, touch Michigan (both upper and lower peninsulas), Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana. It joins with Lake Huron at the Straits of Mackinac. Confusing? Yeah, probably if you're not from around here. We're also the only only state where you can use the palm of your right hand to give directions. http://www.great-lakes.net/tourism/circletour/michigan/
When the smoke clears RailMix gets the bonus point for naming the trip. Thanks for playing along. Sent from my SM-G930R4 using Tapatalk

Well here we are one year later. Our trip starts next Friday. Get your thoughts together and wait until I say go. I will post the rules first for the new followers then a good luck lets get started on Friday. Sent from my SM-G930R4 using Tapatalk
Here are the rules: start your wild guess in some general area (name a city going north , south, east, or west). In the evening after sight seeing all day I will reply with a ( Guss your going the right direction) every one follow Guss. To win you have to be the first to name the city we are in. The more guess the more fun we will have. A small twist this time we will travel Friday to one city then drive to base camp for most of the time before returning by way of same route. You will have two cities to guess. No motorcycle trip this time not enough vacation time for what we want to do and see. GO lets have some fun check in on you Friday.
