Time for another N scale Pennsy thread... I took some photos of my H10sa kitbash (with apologies to both Gregg Mahlkov and Ray Henderson, who blazed the trail for me). It's a Minitrix K4 boiler with a Minitrix B6sb cab on a Bachmann Spectrum chassis with a TCS decoder. The purists, I know, are not impressed. It's not an exact match of any H-class engine. But, she'll pull the bumper off your car and meets the 3-foot rule with a foot to spare! Just throught I'd share...
Dave, In my book, the secret of successful Pennsy steamers is to "achieve the look" particularly in the front, and you did it!!! That loco is really terrific. What did you use for the mechanism. A Bachmann Spectrum Consolidation??? Looking forward to more of your tremungus work.
Scotty, what's that loud, sucking sound? Captain, it's your bandwidth, that Vollmer guy is posting photos again! Geez, I'd use photon torpedoes, the Corbomite Maneuver, or perhaps even... Thy Holy Hand Grenade... but the guy is just too talented!
Aw shucks...! *blush* Maybe I'll have to post somethin' about my current project. Trainphones for the LifeLike FA1. I'll be doing the Aztec retro frame thing for those.
