What makes you think India? I was leaning towards England based on the roof and Chimney; but didn't find anything good on a river bank... The white circle over the track on the left intrigues me; there's what looks like a (construction) crane there..
I was thinking India or somewhere near there based on what I saw last night. I was surfing the area and I saw numerous rail lines right next to a brownish/greenish river/ponds. For me, there was just a lot of similarities. The biggest exception to that was the paved road right next to the station and that weird round building. Also, the trains were just like ones I saw there in that region and not being familiar with what type they are, I don't know if I can find them elsewhere. But anyway, that's just my thinking.....I've got SO MUCH to learn on here so I'm probably wrong anyway. Happy surfing!!
Will be posting Clue#1 either Thrusday or Friday night :tb-rolleyes: :tb-rolleyes: :tb-rolleyes: :tb-rolleyes:
Ok, now that we know it's North of the Equator, unless of course Darren is mean and it's in that tiny tiny section in the lower right, we know that the picture has definitely been rotated approx. 180 degrees give or take a few. This will means the line is running in an approx. East-West direction along a body of water...river, lake, pond??? Oh h e double hockey sticks....I'm still no closer than I was before!!
Who Me? All I will say is it's in the "Red Box" which is also what is visible on the global image and each Clue I post will reduce the search area down to a subset of the previous clue's search area. Clue #3 will get posted in 2 or 3 days from now. Happy Hunting but don't forget Mother's Day! :tb-rolleyes: :tb-rolleyes: :tb-rolleyes: :tb-rolleyes:
GVC suggested India... Along those lines: Not first world> that leaves Mexico _or_ Cuba? Bob in IDaho
I wandered along much of that Mississippi River place - I actually thought Memphis was close; there's a point with the right colour of river and some trees; just no station. So I wouldn't rule out the Continental USA just yet. But to find this place I would have to brute force such a large area on such a close zoom that I'm getting nowhere
So, are you wanting me to pick up the pace on clues for this one or would you like a hint? :tb-rolleyes: :tb-rolleyes: :tb-rolleyes: :tb-rolleyes:
Okay, I'll stop looking at Cuba now New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, North Texas, South/South-East Colorado. Not much of Mississippi... I've just checked the Rio Grande from some dam near Cochiti, NM to the Mexican border; no hits, Canutillo is the closest match, and it's not too close either - wrong greens, wrong trees. So it's probably somewhere less arid than thereabouts
