Ok, this isn't any kind of show-stopper, or serious bug, but..

I typically use the '24 hours of TB' link.. two bummers about the way it works now.

    1. After you click "Quick links/24 hours...", you're brought to the "What's new" page.. which is odd, since you have to BE in forums to even click that dropdown. You're out after you click it. you then have to click forum again to get back in, or to run 24 hour drop down again.

    2. I know some of you will say 'just refresh the 24 hours of TB page' there must be a search cookie or something, because if you wait a while(maybe an hour since I'm at work) and refresh you'll get "no results" found.. and have to repeat step 1 again. which means I can't bookmark the "24 hours" page..

Yep, I know, trivial to some, but I miss the old way.. just refresh the '24 hours of..' whenever I like and find the newest posts.. quick and easy.

not so quick and easy anymore..

cool, that solves the bookmark issue, but it forwards to the new page link.. so no refreshing, at least after a while ;)

I'm a bit lost of what you are saying...

Using the "Quick Links" menu and clicking on the "24 Hours of TrainBoard" bring you to a search list of posts that have happened in the past 24 hours. This is exactly how I recall the "24 Hour" button working before the upgrade

Using the "What's New" Button bring you to a search list of posts that have happened since you last used the site based on a time-stamp recorded in the cookie. This is exactly how I recall the "New Posts" button working before the upgrade.

Help me understand what you feel is different other then how you get to those options?

You used to be able to bookmark 24 Hours of TrainBoard and have it come up fresh each time. Now the bookmarks are only good for a short time. And there were two easy to find buttons for it displayed on each page, one up top and one at the bottom.

it's not a huge deal, so don't spend a lot of time on it ;)

just that I used to always just keep the '24 hours of TB' up on my browser. Whenever I venture back to the computer, I just refresh that page, and see what's up in the last 24 hours.

Now, when I leave the page up, and come back later to refresh, I get this "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms. " and have to re-navigate back to forums/quicklinks/24...

I'll try Gary's link.. so how that works :)
