I have googled and Bing'd and searched on Trainboard without success and now appeal to those of you with better memories, or better search skills, than I possess. A few years ago I purchase some metal track laying tools (straight section of metal (aluminum, I think) edge that fit within N track to get straight flex track, some radius templates, etc. This was a home-based business based in (I think) No California or Oregon. My tools were misplaced during a move so any manufacturer markings are long gone. Can anyone point me toward this source? Thanks, Bill McBride
I found these items by Ribbonrail on walthers: http://www.walthers.com/exec/search?manu=170&split=30&category=Track&start=120 I've never used anything like it, but it looks promising
I don't think this is the same thing but I got one of them. MLR Flex Track Alignment Tool / Nailing Fixture part number 479-5015 Bill, I see you are right down the road a bit from me in Arnold. PM me if you would like to get together. Dave
A month or two ago I found some straight and curved track alignment tools that have ends that allow to join them together, but I forgot the company that makes them. Anyone else here find out what company makes those? Pretty sure it's not MLR and definitely not Ribbonrail.
I think the Op was thinking of http://www.rodneysrrtools.com/ . He had a bunch of custom made tools for N scale. But his domain seems to be vacant right now. Maybe he will come back soon.
No appologizes necessary. the OP was referencing metal tools...no prob. BTW...I checked your link. Thats some pretty cool stuff
I think Marc had the best idea for the radius templates, and Rodney's Tools seems to have two links floating around. This one worked for me. I do like the fact that he does custom work and my club asked for an order and he took good care of us. http://rodneysrailroadtools.x10.mx/
Yes, it was Rodney's RR Tools. I am glad he is still around as I was quite pleased with the templates he made for me.
Try www.handlaidtrack.com I think this is what your looking for http://www.handlaidtrack.com/ hope this helps AlanC.
