I just happened to notice that there is one on eBay that ships in 24 hours, so I checked an order I placed over a year ago if memory serves me right and it’s still back ordered. Then I checked other venders supplies and everybody is sold out. What happened? Did I miss something and does anybody actually have one yet? I know it got postponed 2 or 3 times, but I’ve lost track of it. Actually I forgot about it until I saw it on eBay just now.
Really, I wonder if I should cancel my order and buy the one on eBay. I was not sure if eBay was for real or not and I think my guy forgot about me.
I purchased one from a non forum advertiser but they are out of stock now. The New York Burroughs works still shows in stock. Good luck. Harold
Mine was posted from Wig-Wag on 24/4/2012. It arrived about 2 weeks ago, which is pretty standard for the Great Southern Land. I ordered it as soon as Walthers announced it about 18 months ago. It wasn't even on Wig-Wag's announcements at the time. It is already out of stock at Walthers. Maybe you were unlucky and missed the first run from your pusher even tough you seem to have ordered early. There are still 2 listed at the big place in MD.
Thanks, I don’t know how I missed it. I started out checking every day and then every month until I lost track. It must have been a short batch for them to be gone so fast. I hope there are more on the way. I’ve been busy, but I’m going to call tomorrow to see what is up with my order. I haven’t seen anybody posting about the 1[SUP]st[/SUP] batch and I hope everything is well with the design this time around,
They have been out for a couple weeks. After filling all initial back orders, Walthers had about 30 turntables left over which dissapeared in less than a day. The HO version was shorted and they came up around 150 turntables shy of filling all backorders. Because of that, they are planning for another run of the HO's in the future so maybe more N scale tables will be run at the same time.
I've had my DCC version reserved with Pete in New Jersey since September and it arrived the weeks ago. Glad I did I guess if they are already sold out. Haven't yet had time to even unpack it and check it out.... Regards, Otto
Well it sounds like if I haven’t got my order by now, it’s not coming. I just looked at the Walthers site and they have "unknown" for shipping, so I have no idea when that’s going to be. I’m a little disappointed that I haven’t been notified and now I don’t know what to do until I can talk to someone. I guess I should check to see if it was already charged to my credit card.
Walthers has announced a new group of the N-Scale turntable will be coming at the same time as the additional release of HO turntables. We took Pre-Orders right up to the day before they shipped and filled every one. This is the only time we've ever had a sales rep from a distributor or manufacturer contact us and indicte that something is going quickly and it actually was.
Did they say when that might be? :rats:I just checked with whom I bought mine from and it’s on back order again. Don’t know what happened, but now I have to decide if I really want this or maybe it’s some sort of sign that I don’t need it anyway.
Well after thinking about it I went ahead and ordered one at another place that still had them in stock because I already have the round house with add-ons and all the extra trackside stuff to go with it. It cost me a little more than the 1[SUP]st[/SUP] order and I have to wait until Monday to cancel the original, but at least it’s now shipping. Just hope I don’t end up with two of them, which has happened before.
I know you're not going to want to hear this but I walked in the store this morning and bought one. No order no waiting.
They must have different stuff on the web site because that was the first place I looked and they didn’t have any. Well anyway I already got one coming now. I really envy you guys with walk in LHS. I have to buy everything of the internet.
I got mine after being on back order for almost 2 years. I too just received it and have not had a chance to take it out of the box. I have been working on the round house on the extra buildings that attend the big house. Still I am having fun trying to get all this stuff on the layout so it makes since.
Johnny... IF ya end up with 2...I will be happy to buy the extra one from ya to help ya out... *Yes...we need bigger emiticons...LOL...:headspin:
I’ve been planning it for a couple of years, but really didn’t get serious until last year when I actually drew up plans to build it. Then I bought all the buildings, track and accessories only every time I tried to order the turntable, it wasn’t available. After numerous drawings and changes I finally decided on one, but now I’m not sure if I have to do it allover again, because I made other changes that will affect it. I haven’t been in my train room for months and even had to lock the door to keep the grandson out. The last time I looked in there, everything was pretty much a shambles and I’m afraid to even go in. I’m hoping that this new turntable will rekindle the spark I used to have and if doesn’t by the end of the year everything will up for sale.
Hi George, How are you? For some reason I'm having difficulties replying to your post with a quote, anyway If I get two of them I will definitely send you a PM.
It has Arrived WOW, am I blown away! I ordered a second 130’ turntable on Saturday and it just arrived from NY today on Monday. Two days and yesterday was Sunday. I don’t care what they say about the USPS, they are the fasted. I sure would like to see UPS do that.
I received my Walthers 130" HO turntable about a month ago. It was on order for over a year and a half. I have installed it and am having problems getting it to work. My layout uses MRC Advance 2 DCC system. Programming is a bit tricky because whoever translated the Chinese left out important sentences. I have no luck setting it up for DCC because the instructions say to connect to the booster. The MRC system has a power supply and booster as one unit. Connecting to the system bus did not work. When I connect to a DC power pack, I can run and program the turntable. However there is no power to the track when I connect the track leads to the bus. I wish I had a schematic of the electrical system.
