Down to 38 folks. These will go out of stock soon and this will be a one-time run of these cars before we go on to our next project. Charlie
Folks, Now that we are down to 25 cars (out of 300) an e-mail was received offering to purchase all of them if I would offer a $2 discount per car. I declined because I know that these will sell soon and I want everyone to have a fair chance to get one. Soon, we will decide what the next run will be and get moving on it so bear with us. In the meantime, if you want one of the last 25, the motivation should be obvious. Thanks again to everyone that has participated in this project. Charlie
I haven't been able to read all 600+ posts in this thread, but has the type of car been determined yet? Any drawings we can see?
Glennac, The car being discussed in this thread has already been released. See http://www.specialruns.com. Charlie
Our site owner has been so busy, busy, busy with his employment and personal life, it has not yet been possible to complete remaining details for a next release.
I figure the discussion about this is buried somewhere deep in this thread, but for the next run, is there talk of the car somehow, even if subtly, denoting its connection to Trainboard? The current car is a fine model, but I'd be more excited if there was a direct connection to Trainboard. Maybe folks think that's cheesy?
I feel as you do. As the Special Run before this one did. A Member did those up if memory serves me correct. The Professional production although probably best I still like the Trainboard Scheme. I did purchase last years Special edition also to support as I usually do. Just letting my two bits be known also.
Part of the idea in the past was to make the appeal of the car as broad as possible. It might surprise some folks how much back and forth went into the selection of the particular number and era chosen.
Personally, I'd prefer a more prototypical car, perhaps with Trainboard mentioned in the car data like last year. How about a flatcar this time with a unique load on it that refers to Trainboard? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
