Hello, My name is Pawel. I am from Poznan - Poland. My interest in modern railroading started in childhood time with PIKO trains to play with my brother. Then I had many years break and returned to the hobby for a while ten years ago with purchase of some Marklin Z start sets and KIBRI as well as Faller buildings. Unfortunately not too much happened. I also had some collection of HO PKP (Polish State Railways) rolling stock which was very rare at that time. At the beginning of 2015 I started to do my first Z layout. Z community is not very big in Poland (70 members of internet forum) so I would like to get more information about Z scale as well as some more feedback to my work and decided to join Trainboard. I hope that improvement of my English will be a side effect as well .
Welcome to Trainboard. We are looking forward to your participation. Your English is already so much better than my Polish.
Do you know any Polish ? It happens all over the world with some family roots ... We are a nation of emigrants as well
No, none at all. Two of my grand parents were from Germany but I never learned much from them. I do know some Spanish because many of my friends and neighbors are of Mexican decent.
Hi Pawel, Welcome, glad to have you aboard. I hope you can share photos so we can share with your progress.
Welcome aboard! Always great to have new members from around the world, it would indeed be great to see some photos of your work and the local railroads. I hope you'll find that we have a pretty good Z community here, even if more focused towards US railroading. And something about Poznan rings a bell, but I can't put my finger on it.
Hi Pawel. Welcome here. And true, there's a strong Z scale community here. Mainly American prototype, but there are still a bunch of guys who practice european (uh, german / swiss /austrian as Marklin mostly forgets that there are railroads elsewhere than in these 3 countries). Here you'll find all what you need. Dom
