If you have a new phone, join in. Here are the rules: Do not trespass (or violate any other laws in the pursuit of photos or videos). Be safe (and legal). If you are driving, stop the car in a safe place to use your phone's camera. All photos must be taken during the period of the thread (i.e. now through September 30, 2013 for this thread). Photos should be taken with your smartphone (or other similar mobile device) and uploaded. Videos may be embedded from Youtube (or other video site). I will get this going again as I have a photo I took.
Here is a local on the UP in Houston. This is the old Houston & Texas Central, former T&NO/SP line between Dallas and Houston. Sent from my DROID4 using Tapatalk 2
If you download the Tapatalk APPlication, there is an option to attach a photo when you post a message. If you log on through the standard browser interface you can attach a photo using the "insert image" icon in the tool bar and select "Choose file". The phone should then ask you some options where you choose "Camera" and then take a photo or select from a Gallery photo saved on the phone. Different phones work a little different so you may have to play around a bit.
I dont know what you just said, but I'll ask my daughter to help me should the scenario occur! Thanks! Charlie
Today in Rosenberg, a west bound KCS freight slows to switch onto the old Victoria sub off of the Sunset. Sent from my DROID4 using Tapatalk 2
And it was followed by an empty rock train heading back to the limestone quarries north of San Antonio. Sent from my DROID4 using Tapatalk 2
My taptalk won't connect. Been doing that for a couple weeks now I thought I was going to have to walk away.
I know that when we changed software, several folks reported needing to upgrade their TapaTalk software. Possibility?
They need to delete TrainBoard then search for it again to get the new site. A reminder that the built-in mobile style is better than Tapatalk.
My phone dosen't have a camera. It has a dial you use to let your fingers do the walkin. I use a camera for my photos.
I did that now it wont let me log in. I can go through the log in page with my name and password then back to this thread and then it tells me to " sign up or login" again. I guess I will just have to stay on the sidelines.
Ok so now it works. Good thing I didn't throw it across the room at the wall. Sent from my LG-US780 using Tapatalk
This is as close to a right of way I get at work. I need to talk with randgust about it yet but I believe I'm working in Wheeler & Dusenbury territory. Note the rocks piled up for grading as well as drainage. I did not dig down into the grade but underfoot it felt like the ties may still be under there in sections. Edit: Upon a little internet sleuthing, this is more than likely the Garfield & Cherry Grove line, which eventually was incorporated into the Tionesta Valley Railway. W&D's tracts were further to the west. Also, this picture looks so much better on my phone, it pixelates terribly and looks like I was on a sugar high when I took it due to the amount of shake, haha. Maybe I'll try again next week when I get back out there.
