The same vendor (The guys from Yuba City) had a something like 8 Western Pacific diesel locos in various paint schemes. It was a very hard choice to just get the SD!
Ah yes, Western Depot. They had some good looking diesels in their sale section. I ended up with the new SP 48' container. The painting is very nice with the silver ribs.
Got some of the new Hornby/Arnold locomotives at the buy one get one free sale. I must say that I am pretty impressed with these locomotives.
Got the extended shank couplers I need, for the ConCor autoracks. Also got a pair of Milwaukee Road Domeliner linen headrest covers.
Kato SP sd45 Deluxe Innovations SP flat and ribbed side woodchip cars, I have almost 20 now, mini unit train !! 6 Con Cor 45' containers( 3 for $12)individuely picked. All at the train show in Pomona CA last weekend.
Very nice!! Based on the road number, the Kato unit would technically be an MK SD40M-2.... http://espee.railfan.net/spsd40m-2.html
Just ordered some Intermountain 8k tank cars in Gibson Wine paint (actually a local winery for me once upon a time). I was waiting for the remainder of the tanks to come out and suddenly saw that the Gibsons were OOS at my preferred location (and my backup shop as well) so I had to quickly scramble to find some...and found about 8-10 other OOP MT cars at same online location.
Got a Static Grass unit on Ebay. As always I was a little uneasy about it but decided to try it anyway. Well, it totally works and it's even decently made. Right size, right options, all decently made and decently packaged. I can give it an 8 out of 10 regardless of price and when considering the price it gets a 9.5 out of ten. NOTHING gets a 10 out of 10. It's nicely done, very acceptable, and I can totally recommend it. I'm happy. When retrieving this link I see the price went up to $50 with free shipping. When I ordered it was $45 with free shipping. Still worth it, I think. http://www.ebay.com/itm/262783511389
I just got a Shay in HOn3. It's a kit so I'll be doing a lot of staring I expect as I've never built a locomotive before. I found this one here on TB. It will be powering a narrow gauge line on my CBAM&J. Rick H.

Got lucky today, at the Estes Park train show! For an MRC Control Master 20 power supply and walk around throttle! Been looking for one for a while now, since I traded the one I once had, to a friend several years ago! Was an expensive, but pleasant surprise!
Picked up an Arnold SW-1 for repaint in the Milwaukee Road. Still have to weather the trucks and fuel tanks and add numbering to the lights, front end and the back end of the cab. They glue the windows in, making repainting difficult. Overall a nice little model.
Got an airbrush on Ebay for about $20.00. The picture looked good but for twenty bucks and free shipping, I have to admit I really wasn't expecting very much. But then I wasn't going to use it for painting nails, tattoos or airbrush calligraphy. Just wanted one for weathering my rolling stock. The airbrush comes with three nozzles , .2mm, .3mm and .5 mm. Had to try it the moment I got it. Tried to spray some cheap water based acrylic craft paint I got at Walmart for $.50. I thinned the paint with windshield washer fluid in accord with some You tube videos I saw. Hooked it all up and. . . . . It worked. I'm spraying acrylic paint through a .2mm nozzle and to say I am impressed is an understatement. I was not expecting this thing to perform as well as it did considering the price but I was very impressed none the less. This is the airbrush in question: http://www.ebay.com/itm/271788606843?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
My latest purchase is 3 Atlas Trainmasters: Virginian 60,64, and 67. I've been waiting on these for a long time, and I'm hoping to eventually buy more to renumber.
