I had some very thinly insulated solid 28 ga... its too brittle. I bought some 26ga braided. It's too thick.
What can I use? I don't have a local place I can go look at anything.
    Thanks
    Marty

Both TCS and ESU have packaged stranded wire. TSU's is 30 awg , ESU is 36 awg. TB advertiser Streamlined Backshop has them in all sorts of different colors

If you have access to a junk pile, the wire in the pickup arm of a record player is ideal.

I use the wire from melted Atlas SNAP TRACKā„¢ switch machines. I have melted more than a few of them in my time. You may have to find some way to color the red and green wires black. I have had success with Tamiya paint. It forms a skin that flexes.

Red and green would be perfect, it's for a Christmas loco . But, I looked through my junk. No solution there

Old 80 count ribbon cables from an old computer. I used some for my cables that come down on my celltower.

The ESU wire is great! Well worth it. Thanks for the tip
