LED lighting strips...........that may be the answer for lighting on MY layout. Just have to build the overhead to support the strips, and I'm in business. Thanks for passing this along.
Jim the main reason I switched to HO was the reasons you have mentioned I purchased all DCC sound locomotives and really enjoy the point to point of a switching layout. If You are on Facebook search for HO scale shelf layouts it’s brilliant Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yesterday I switched the whole layout for the first time was really pleased with the added capability Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes it sure is and challenging to switch the cars in the most efficient way Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
After reading this from front to back and getting a lot of idea's from your layout. Will be getting some lumber on the 8th and starting my Speedway Division of the Indian Rock a former New River railroad Division ( very loosely based off the NW) Following yours with interest thanks for getting the juices flowing again.
Always interesting to see your operation. Sure does look nice, a lot off MRRing in your space there. I need to get more eastern roads on my MRR, they are not represented very well on my outfit. We have tracks full of those GATX units in storage here, mostly GP38's, there were 100's of UP GP15s too but they have shipped a bunch of them away now, prolly making razor blades out of them now.
Colonel: Looks like a fun line to operate. I have to go back to the OP and read over all 29 pages next weekend. Boris
Between your layout, what I see in HO as far as details and features, my aging eyesight and the short comings with N that was mentioned earlier, HO is becoming less "Horribly Oversized" and more "Honestly Optimum sized." There are also so changes in my life that will effect my modeling. I'm hopping in a year or so to start building a similar point to point. Until then, I'll be watching your layout progress with interest!
Thanks Jim Yes i am loving the point to point layout with good switching and operations, it adds a whole new level of modelling Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Excellent Colonel! I Like the "J" SD38. Had a friend and mentor that modeled a lot of "J" equipment. Yours looks like it right at home there.
Paul, wanted to thank you for the referral on the Mintaur blossoms. They are fanatic. Here they are on my street side hanging baskets. Much appreciated. M
