Good morning! It’s time to gather around and discuss what we have planned for the weekend. I don’t have much planned so take it away guys! We’ll be back on Monday the 10th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and as always... Remember December 7th, 1941! High Greens!
Lots of plans this weekend. I’m a little excited as I move on to another area of the layout to work on. This specific area I thought would be the very last to be done but alas the ideas started flowing fast and furious so here I am. This is the swing bridge area crossing the doorway. I won’t say what I’m doing but I I’ll say it will look really cool when done. I am giving myself three weeks to complete it. So I won’t be posting pics of it until then. But here is the blank slate to look at any way. . So I will be making more trees, the campground sign for the previous section, rocks, rocks, and more rocks
Saturday: We'll have our Granddaughter in the morning - then we are heading off to a Christmas party. Sunday: We'll see. I have nothing planned, at the moment. Hope Y'all have a great weekend, Wolf
Planned is such a strong word. With my new workbench built I have many things to get to, but with the holidays coming we have a lot of Honey Do's to get the house ready for relatives. All of which is to say . . . I'll see you Sunday or Monday.
Not sure what might get done with the rest of today or tomorrow. Spent today getting through the weekend list of to-dos, plus did some work in the shop on a few hand-crafted Christmas gifts. A good day, but no progress on the railroad.
With no layout and not immediate plans for a layout (were hoping to move in the next 9-12 months), might as well work on some freight cars! Here are some recent projects awaiting weathering: Here is a 3 Bay, 100 Ton hopper made by Bowser. Letters for my KY&N as 34125, I have three others also lettered. This a 40’ Boxcar in dedicated kaolin service. This began as an Athearn steel reefer, hatches were added to the roof, the running board was replaced with an Overland metal etched running board, stirrups and grabs were trimmed and applied separately, 6’ doors were trimmed to fit and door tracks scratch built from strip styrene. Kadee metal sprung trucks added as well. Finally, a work in progress. This 40’ Boxcar is getting a 10’ door for paper service, door tracks are scratchbuilt (in progress). This may get an earlier brown paint scheme with white lettering for my KY&N. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
