I like how you matched the figures to the picture in paint and seating arrangement. Pretty awesome!

    Clyde,
I agree with the others, it adds another level of detail that makes it more realistic. Nice work with the color details as well.

This weekend I created a cemetry for my hispanic people in Marfa, Tx. . Basis was the well known kit from archistories. I added the Madonna, in front of the mausoleum, and the statue on the sarcophagus, just right of the military grave yard, from Yellow dwarfs (https://www.yellowdwarf.eu/). At least I added a lot of aditional grave stones and some colourful mexican grave decorations.

Wow, what great details, as always!!(y)

I also like the roads, and the one that turns to gravel towards "Diego's Paradise".
    That's a cool detail!:D

    Thanks, Kurt!
But to call a scrap yard "paradise" in front of a human grave yard makes some people angry. Diego has to visit a attorny pretty soon! ;)

Nothing a fresh coat of paint can't fix!

;) Before the lawyers get involved!

Oh, and the billboard is a nice touch!(y)

A very interesting scenario for the layout. And the junk yard at the end of the paved road is a nice touch. I see Diego has several "rifle slots" in the wall surrounding his property. We must assume that Diego has had trouble in the past......:cautious:

With a potential move coming up the workbench is not as busy as usual. Despite the upcoming release of the AZL SD40-2s I still have an MTL undec that needs to be put in service. Drew up and printed decals for Conrail, now I'm second guessing that idea. I do have a soft spot for CR, esp the early years.

Well as a counter point, AZL has released artwork on their forum that indicates that they will be doing this Conrail scheme. https://azlforum.com/post/28736/thread
Maybe by this weekend we will know more.

If you can wait 6 months to a year and there is another scheme you would like, maybe give it some consideration. Also, because of the way the world works, there is a 100% chance AZL will also do #6410. That is just to comedy that is life.

    Frank,
    Nice site, nice work! (y)
What was your reasoning for creating separate walls and assembling instead of a contiguous grow?
    Just want to learn something.:)
What software do you use for modeling?

Hi, separate parts was done to reduce the printing artifacs. You used to be able to chose a preferred printing orientation. Although printing quality is getting better at Shapeways, compared to years ago.

I feel like it has been forever, but I finally have a few pictures of some test running configurations of the Medford, Oregon modules acquired from Loren Snyder. These are just test runs on the new legs (for showing at 50 inch rail top), because all this will be broken back down to go to the Timonium, Md. Great Scale Model Train Show in less than two weeks. The mountain is topless, because it's easier, but you can get the idea. All of these modules (6 of the 10 from Loren) will be added to our normal show layout, for the largest show layout WE'VE ever put together!
If you look closely, you might even see the trains in the last pic!
