I have an older Atlas SD35 that has DCC and I want to swap it out with a newer Atlas SD chassis that is DC only. Does anyone know what versions of the SD would swap directly with an SD35 (other than an SD35)?

Is there a reason you don't convert the one you have to DC if that is what you want?

Looks like they are good runners. If yours has the DCC factory installed decoder I'll bet someone would swap you a DC light board for your decoder.

I'm not sure on the ability to swap the fuel tanks. But it looks like the SD7/9, SD24, SD26, and SD35 all share the same basic chassis and trucks. The high hood units lack a light shield used for the low hood cab.

Why not just get the analog light board? It would be the most affordable option. https://shop.atlasrr.com/p-4084-n-sd-35-pc-board-analog.aspx

Like the others said, just swap out the light board

Freddy_Fo ironically just posted this week about converting a Montana Rail sd35 to DCC & Sound. You guys should have traded!
