Not so much a purchase as it it was an acquisition. Thank you a ton to a fellow TB member! :)

Another 4 units arrived today. There Kato SD40-2's and an SD40. All with decoder ready mechanisms that I already have decoders for.

I wish I could share the purchase of some new locos or rolling stock, but instead a few Wabbits and connectors are on the way. A bunch of Fast Tracks supplies too.

Focussing on powering through the less glamorous tasks to make model railroading fun.

    OKC train show last weekend...
Trainworx 52' gon, Scaletrains 5750cuft carbon black hopper, and a Broadway Ltd cryogenic tank car. Spent less than $90 for all 3. Pretty good deals.

Spray can of Rust-oleum "Smokey Beige." Yes, I know, mixing your own paint and using an airbrush is better, less detail-covering, etc. But I become 79 in a few days and have never gotten any of my 5 airbrushes to work as advertised. I blame myself, not them. This color looks about tight for the off-white I want. Hotel built 1880s as seen in layout period 1950s. I do not have a color photo from this period, but a Library of Congress photo from 1970s.

The building burned and was rebuilt to plans drawn for planned rehab. Now a bright white. But I "feel" this color for the time period I am aiming at. I see a fire escape, maybe I'll have to order an N-scale Gold Medal Models etched-brass fire escape kit.

This is just some of the new stuff that I have gotten since my G-scale acquisition. The Microtrains FT locomotive runs great, but it doesn’t like the mini layout I bought it for. I figured a small 4 axle short wheel base locomotive would do just fine, but it complains around the corners. They both do it, but they work well enough if their speed is up around mid or higher.

Here are the cute little robots that work inside the gondolas. Unfortunately they do not fit well under my tunnel portals.

How much of a height difference? Can you raise the portal by putting something underneath the two "legs"?

The blue robot is the bad guy here, he doesn’t lock in to his car like the other do so when he moves just right it hits. But the portals are glued down and the track is on a hard base so it is what it is. No biggie, the locomotive doesn’t like the corners this sharp anyway so this will be used on other layouts.

Nice hopper, Brad, especially since you have an industry for it to serve.

Just picked up an Atlas U25B classic in BN paint. Opened it up for measurements. Will add an ESU nano decoder and make a speaker case to fit.

Just ordered three decoders, working on the reshaping of the frame this week. Also, have to design a speaker case and print it. Stay tuned.
