Good morning, Everybody! Just an early sunlight picture, while Dirk and I are working on FLOPS! Update soon to come! Best, Sven
Dirk and I just did the finishing touch on OPS 1 + 2 and could generate some amazing pictures, which I would like to share with you: Let's start in the right corner, which allows a long view towards the left corner where the shops are located. (Last pieces of my UP collection are positioned there for a last photo shooting before they go to their new owners on Friday!) https://azlforum.com/thread/2665/large-collection-on-sale?page=4&scrollTo=31502 In the right corner is the NewPort Curve with its famous Diner....... If you follow the curve, you get a different angle on the layout, too! Have a look at the track before the railway station........ It is getting dark and rainy, we better look for cover, best in the diner !!!!!! And in the corner, only a little light is glowing in the dark.... -- to be continued --
What I like about the modeling is it’s the tracks the old yard are modeled and look right. Nothing against scenery layouts with trees and mountains but I’d rather see an old yard and its buildings and mess…city structures…tracks that look abandoned…the street crossings. Good stuff!
I keep looking at the night scene where all the sailors are heading into the bar! I really like that one, because my imagination says there is going to be a bar brawl tonight!
I need to share the ultimate picture by Dirk with you: This is Z-scale !!!! Wide dimensions allowing full trains........
Looks like not much happened on FLOPS, but this is not true! All the electrics are now in place!! We have to do all the test runs now, before all the trees get into our way. Nevertheless, already looks quite promising, I think! Best, Sven
The water really looks right in this picture. Often water on layouts look good but not always right….you got the ripples spot on!
