On the 17th of may I spent aprox. 3 hours at George Sellios's layout, and I took about 75 pictures. Needless to say it will take a few days to sort them all out and reduce them to the 100KB size to post on Rail Images. When I start, I'll try and do a few at a time so as not to clog up the bandwith. here's just one:
Chris, thanks for sharing the photos. I have always admired George Sellios's workmanship and one day will get the opportunity to visit his layout. Take care, Jim
Bah, you should've told me you were in the area. You know, I live less than 20 minutes from George's layout and I've never been! I was busy Saturday anyway, but I'm sure you had a great time. The layout, from what I have seen, is absolutely spectacular.
Chris- Am curious- From those photos I've seen published, is the bulk of his layout in an urban industrial setting? Boxcab E50
First, to Boxcab. I would say yes. To Cory: Sorry, I didn't know you were so close. Its mind boggling. You could spend 2 hours and not move more than 2 feet. there is more detail than I have ever seen. He must have about 5,000 priser figures and hundreds of Jordan autos. More pictures later this week.
Martin A plan was published in Model Railroader a while ago-I think it was around Christmas- I just found it..December 1999. Try them for a back issue Best wishes Steve
