I need some help laying flextrack. I'm really having trouble with one section in particular. I have a 30 degree crossing that goes directly into a curve. The curve follows around 180 degrees and then connects into a turnout. I can't seem to figure out a way to measure and fit all this correctly. I'm using Atlas Code 80 for everything. Any advice or links would be greatly appreciated.

The easiest way is to forget measuring, just go straight to fitting. First connect one end, doesn't matter which, turnout or crossing. Then start forming your curve and temporarily tack the track in place with push-pins as you go. To keep a good shape to your curve tack it every 2 inches or so and put pins on the inside and outside of the curve. Keep laying until you get to the other end and lay the track right over top of the other section. Looking straight down at the overlap. make a small mark on the rails of the flex track with a knife blade where they need to be cut. Then you can remove the tacks, cut the track at the marks and then put permanently in place.

I sure wish I had asked that question before I started. Oh well...
