I was doing a little track testing on the shelf layout (14'x11') so I took out two of my MoPac engines, a SD38-2 and a BL2 (both P2K). The BL2 had recently under went surgery where I replaced the wheels with some from an old blue box Athearn engine. The old set all had split gears. It is running fine now though. They ran the entire day while I was busy printing. Nothing fell off and clobbered me so I guess the lines at this point are fine. verse
Sweet! That GP38-2 looks particularly nice. As far as I'm concerned one can't never have too many Geeps. That old Lionel loco with the camera in the nose... Talk about a blast from the past. I remember when those came out in the 1980's. These days you can probably jury-rig your own wirelessly-networked webcams that transmits a color image (those Lionels were B&W only, right)? Brings back memories from my youth..
Thanks Tom. Here's another shot showing the camera loco. That camera train is my test engine I'll probably drop it in a P2K FA1. I don't know much about the camera train technology yet so I bought this on the internet. I agree with you on the geep too. These proto versions are awesome pullers. I have a UP version also w/dynamic brakes, Sweet. BTW I have a GP18 on the way. I'll post the video later. verse
NICE. I love to just turn a train loose while I'm working on the layout. It makes for nice eye candy while I'm taking a break.
