Just beautiful work Tom. I really love seeing new standards set in Z! So... when are you giving weathering classes? John http://www.ztrains.com
It's hard to tell in this photo, but I added a little bit of Future to get the rust to "pop" a little.
Tom, good job. you know why it looks so good? Cause it's enlarged about 25 times. What ever happened to your decal project? You were going to make Z decals for a Railbox, Milwaukee Road and maybe a couple of others, fifty foot boxcar. I was really looking forward to that.
Put on the back burner while I wrote an article for Z track! But thanks for the reminder! Let me think about how to advertise this and take orders.
what a shame to fool us with your PhotoShop quarter under that proto car I gotta figure out how to get my rust more spotty like yours, like above the "Canadian National" on the upper left corner.
Yes, that's a novelty quarter - 4 inches across:shade: Well, the next issue of Z Track will have my article on weathering.
Well, we are all looking forward to that issue! I will be spending the summer replacing roofs and roofwalks on my fleet of MTL cars, and "Giving Them the Business" following your method of weathering. I hope to have the most messed up roster in Z Scale by next train season!
