Apparently these are discontinued. Anyone know where I could find four of these? I've checked with my local hobby shop and he can't get them, and there are none available on eBAY. My usual online stores also are out of stock. Thanks!
Have you tried Wig-Wag? Fifer shows them in stock. Wouldn't hurt to email. http://www.fiferhobby.com/html/digitrax_dcc_n_scale_model_tra.html Ben
Sorry 'bout that Bob. I didn't click the order page. Most everywhere I checked either has the same story or no longer shows them at all. Ben
I have 6 of these and used a dz125; hard wired them to the light board. a tiny amound of the frame needs to be milled to allow for the bulge in the decoder. once this is done it will fit nicely under the light board. cut a few set of slices in the light board to isolate the motor, front light and power pick up. solder the orange and grey to the motor tabs on the board, hard wire the black and red to the screws holding the board down. finaly wire the blue to the resistor on the light and white to the other side of the light. takes less than a half hour. use decoder pro to set up the cv's and VOLA!!! paul
Bob, you aren't going to enjoy trying to track one of these down.... I have an AB Sharknose pair and I have been able to get only one of the Digitrax drop-in decoders. I got it off eBay and I paid $45 for the danred thing. You should anticipate paying about the same IF you manage to find one. All this for an engine that doesn't even run that well.....I do like the aesthetic design thought!
A friend of mine has two sharks with the plug in decoders in them that he would sell for the price of the decoders. If you are interested let me know?
