    Hi all,

I recently moved to southern NH, and I'm looking for some tips. I know the ST runs up here, as well as the NHN. Other than Amtrak DownEaster, what kind of traffic can I expect? Are there any "regular schedules", published or not? Any favorite spots? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Jim, welcome to my old homestate. I used to live north of you in Concord. It's been 10 years since I called NH home and 2002 since I last visited. The NHN is a great shortline to watch, you can go north a bit and follow the New England Southern from Manchester to Concord. The Bow powerplant coal train comes in (used to be) weekly on the old B&M line. Southern NH also has Guilford in Manchester and Nashua has the old B&M yard. That is all I remember railfaning. Enjoy your stay in the Granite State!
