Received my Walthers 2007-08 Buyer's Guide #2 in the mail today and starting (and ending) on page 36 are steam locos - all one of them, an 0-8-0. Has the 2-8-8-2 announced for Fall 2007 delivery already been released and I missed it[IMG]

No, it's yet to arrive. You have time to order.

Ben, I noticed that too, the 2-8-8-2 was conspicuously absent from the flyer. I was wondering if that was just a goof in the flyer or if the loco has been delayed further.

They decided not to put it in the flyer as the complete run was bought by this forum :)

A wild guess--pulled just before press time when they realized it was going to be late. Happens all the time. Of course, lead times are much shorter these days for printed material. When I was writing/designing brochures in the computer industry, pages would be pulled all the time, leading to a wild scramble and many overnighters redoing the mechanical art. It still happens today, but computers make it a bit easier to rearrange pages.

I wonder why Walthers doesn't have a new release page like all the other stores. Sure, you can find things, but it's all mish-mashed by scale and you have to look at each day individually...

Tony, I'm beginning to love HO Scale. [IMG]

It certainly does get more press as well as more items. Hmm, maybe there is method to their madness.

I just took a look (8:28 PM) - 22 viewing the N forums, 3 viewing the the HO forums. This is very typical - maybe the folks out there at Walthers should check this out - N scale is huge - I mean popularity wise!

Old man Athearn said, "I'll do N Scale over my dead body!"

    He died.
