I just bought a rotary tool from TIM ALLEN SIGNATURE TOOLS from e-bay, without accessories; as I thought they'd be easy to get. But, they're not. Anyone know where I can get them?

I'm not familiar with that brand, but what are you looking for in "accessories"? Generally bits and chucks are interchangable.......so you should be able to get Dremel bits that will fit. Around here they are available at Kmart,Walmart, HomeDepot,Lowes or most hardware stores. And Sears should have Craftsman bits that will fit.

Are you talking about bits? You may have to change the piece inside the chuck (coullet sp?) . I bought a set of bits at Costco, and it came with 4 different sizes to fit the various bits in the set. They fit both my Dremel and my Black and Decker.

Even Dremel accessories can require different size collets as some have different thickness shafts. I just bought a package (Dremel #4485) with 4 different size collets and an additional retaining nut at HD.

EDIT: Guess I need to have a cup of coffee before posting in the morning. I see that I essentially repeated the same information that MRLdave already posted.

Send it back. Get a Dremel as accessories are all over the place. I received a cordless Craftsman and first it has never heks a chrge for full power and even sears rarely has what I need. Everything has to be ordered. When I get a corded Dremel(more power) I will be assured that the hobby shop, craft store, hardware store etc... has what I may need.

Over the years I've had many and never actually owned a Dremel name brand. I've gone from Sears(which dremel actually makes them), Black and Decker, to the newest one I have now from Mastercraft(Canadian Tire's line). All the dremel bits fit fine in all of them. You just either need all the different collets for the different sized bits or you can also buy an adjustable chuck like you find on a drill just smaller.
