A bump and an update... Response has been terrific this week to the opening of registration. We've had almost 1000 visitors to our website in the past week, and registrations a flowing in as well. If you want to attend any of the extra fare events you had better sign up soon as all of these will sell out long before the show. Also, the NTRAK layout is filling up that 50,000 s/f fast. If you want a layout or module in the show, now is the time to go to the website and submit a request. Although I will try to monitor this thread, the best way to contact us or to get additional information is through the website.
Just got myself and the entire family registered. Even got the Suite reserved at the nice price. Really looking forward to this historic event!
I just signed up. Staying at the convention hotel; flying in on Tuesday. Hoping to see everyone there. Maybe we should all wear cowboy hats to identify ourselves as TB members? Just a thought.
Traitor, I thought you hated airports. I would fly if I could get all my modules in the overhead bin. Anyone from Texas want to ride up with me? You don't even have to have a cowboy hat. However this is what I will probably be wearing.
Well, if we aren't going to wear cowboy hats, how about all the TrainBoard guys just wearing a coat and tie all the time? How about that? BTW, what do you wear at these things? I usually wear shorts in the summer. How warm will it be in Louisville on June 25?
I wish I could go to Louisville, but I am planning on finally attending one; Portland in '09. I hope to see all sorts of nice pics!
Temperatures in Louisvillle, KY in June: High 80F 28C Low 65F 19C Right now it is 20F -7C with freezing rain or snow. At 20F, I vote for ice.
Given that I look like a dork in hats, I won't be wearing anything like a cowboy hat. Maybe I'll wear the FRT ball cap Chuck graciously put in one of my many packages . . . David
Whatever is comfortable! All the conventions I've went to people wore everything, shorts, pants, slacks. The banquet is the only thing people semi-dress up for. Don't forget the swim trunks either!
I don't know. If you look at issues of Model Railroader from the 40s and 50s most of those guys are pictured wearing suits and ties to operating sessions. Shouldn't we dress at least that good for the shows? Al
Given that the banquet is probably black tie, would it be OK if I wear my white dinner jacket, or would this be considered gauche?? David
Seemed like the middle of last June was pretty warm when I was doing filming. I remember it getting close to 90*F on one day.
