What are you thankful for in N scale for the past year? (Please, no sniveling or whining! ) I'm thankful for the Challenger, a new steam locomotive that runs extremely well and delivered on all its hype.
I'm thankful for each and everyone of you... who participate here on Trainboard. You've been more then willing to help me and I've enjoyed throwing out my two cents...as well. Wishing you the best this holiday season brings... to all, your families and those who celebrate under your roof this Thanksgiving day. Happy Thanksgiving! Time to watch the parade.
Happy Thanksgiving, all! I am happy to have my health and enough wealth to enjoy N scale railroading, and hope all of you are in the same situation. I have always been thankful for the ever expanding list of mfgs and products that have come our way since I got into N in 1990, rather than scornful of the items we don't (yet) have.
A-a-a-a-a-a-men! This board and my club here in town are the two best things about N scale. Anything else I can't find (e.g., particular loco, rolling stock paint scheme, etc.) I can kitbash, but I can't kitbash the people into existence.
I'm thankful for this board, and the friends I've made through it. I agree with all the comments above -- Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I've very thankful for the great resource this Board is! I'm thankful for a great NTrak club in my area. I'm thankful that this old dog is learning new (DCC) tricks Have a great day everyone. There's so much to be thankful for in this life.
I'm thankfull for my health & my family, and living in such a great nation that affords me a life-style to enjoy my freetime. Anything else is icing on the cake.
Thankful for... ...the opportunity to read all the great N posts in this forum. Did ya ever look at the stats of posts here? N Scale outnumbers the closest forum by 5:1. N Scalers are excited about their modeling. So yes, in this case- Size does matter and it's better if it's smaller. "N"ot so small as you'd be embarassed to show it- in fact proud to show it!!! Thumbs up all around guys and ladies. Now, with all that said, "I want the drumstick, pass the gravy and give me the corn". Mark Pardon my post, you know what turkey does to me 2 hours later.
I was thankful, now I'm in Mark's situation. My only regret is that I missed the news coverage of the ladies bowling using frozen turkeys. Ben
Happy Thanksgiving. I'm very thankful for this board and the N scalers on it who make it impossible to leave N scale for very long. I'm also thankful for a free nation of which we are all so blessed. Lucas Sitka, Alaska Yes Alaska is a state
I'm thankful for the awesome exchange rate we get here.....and Libby's Tinned Pumpkin in my local supermarket.
Through trials and tribulations, to those that have assisted me and those I have helped, for the blessings of the diety and factors beyond my ken you all have my personal never ending gratitude for making this day possible.
I'm thankful that in the past 12 months I was able to finally leave HO and start my first N scale layout...Although it's been largely untouched since Spring (save for a couple days in the summer when I worked on it). Though it seems I'm creeping back towards the hobby now. I think model railroading for me is a Fall-Winter kind of hobby...I'm thankful that I'm now an N-scaler Happy ThaNksgiviNg!
I'm thankful for Trainboard and all the people who make it run well, I'm thankful for all of you who are on Trainboard--the nicest group of folks around--as well as the Internet, which makes it all possible. I'm thankful that I am healthy enough, and have the money and space, to be able to begin a layout. I'm thankful, too, for all the little guys out there--the manufacturers, publishers, and other businesses as well as hobby shops--who are doing their part to make sure we have all the materials we need, and are doing it with style. And those are just the N-scale related things I'm thankful for.
I'm thankful for TrainBoard and all the N&Z scalers that help keep it running. I have learned a lot from all your contributions. I'm thankful for Hallmark for the Zscale train ornaments & the Nscale churches. I'm thankful the Cubs at least made the playoffs. Hope the Red Sox enjoy their World Series victory. Could next year be the return of the Cubs & White Sox?? I'm thankful the Bears made the Super Bowl to play the Colts last season. I'd like to see the Packers & Brett Favre go this season. I'm thankful to Concor for the Goose, Atlas for the Shay,MTL for the new cars, Bachmann for the New J & the New Knuckle Couplers. I'm thankful for the Music City Star. At least I have a commuter train I can ride. I'm thankful for the Nashville & Eastern and the Tennessee Central to help keep some shine on those rails. I'm thankful for CSX that connects Nashville with the rest of the world.
Although our Thanksgiving was a while ago, I'd like to add to this thread. I'm thankful that I found Trainboard and all the wonderful people on here. Happy Thanksgiving to all our southern neighbors. Dave.
