wondering what is the ratio of water and PVA glue to use on Beaded Foam to act as a SEAL for later painting

Judging from the plethora of responses I think you stumped the best minds of trainboard with this one Kiwi1942!! I guess I don't even know what PVA glue is. I've heard of PVA mold release (used in fibergalss molding) but not glue. I have to ask, why even seal beaded foam? If you use a latex base paint it should seal itself. I think I'd shy away from any petroleum based paint when used around foam of any kind. Just my $.02

    HI AT

PVA Glue that can join nearly everything, and was thinking of watering it down to make a paste to use as a thin spray to cover foam b4 painting some SCOLLOPED walls a STONE color.

As you say not many replies so might just have to TRIAL and ERROR or might try some water-based paint with a BRUSH, :) - more looking around

As for the BEADED foam, it was a matter of what was on hand

Good luck and please do show some picrutes of your progress. I know all about experimentation with products on foam. My first attempt at painting my foam tunnel insides with a black oil based paint ended up in a gloppy mess. The second try with latex did the trick.

Water Based Paint - not PVA Glue

I have advised to look at WATER BASED PAINT as a sealer, will look into this on my next pay day

    LOL
now I have a heap of WATERED down glue, waiting for the SOLID to settle in hope of getting back to REAL GLUE

I tried to upload some pic's B4 but no luck, but will look into this as well
