    As a side note, I liked the last "how-to" that you posted. It went over pretty well here on Trainboard and I would suggest doing that again with this project.

    Another crane you might want to try doing is the pedestal type seen often in mounted to
    Concrete platforms.

    What would be the appropriate era for this? Any specific prototype that was used?

    The prototype was from the Erie RR and built in the 20's. It lasted well into the latter part of the century.

    These were also used in a Rip track yard, often for wheel replacement. I could use two.
