I have written a blog post on my opinion of the current state of the Digitrax Zephyr, and some ideas about the direction Digitrax needs to take with this product. At the end of the post are three poll questions. I would be grateful if you would respond to this poll, and leave any comments you may have... either on the blog post, in the forum there, or in this thread. Does Digitrax Need to Upgrade the Zephyr? Zephyr I started a new HO layout one year ago after a long absence. It is medium-sized in my basement and built and wired strictly for DCC operation. I elected to put in a Digitrax DB150 Super Empire Builder wireless. I thought that would be all I needed, but since I have mechanized all my turnouts with DS64 controlllers, I find the single DT400R throttle to be limiting. UT4R throttles are no help with turnouts. So I added a Zephyr to my Yard district and since it offers a Throttle and turnout switching capability, I have added a whole new dimension to operations. I like it so much, I am considering (when greenbacks permit) adding a second Zephyr to the Yard near to the Roundhouse and turntable control. It does a lot for the money. The only downside I see (NOT insignificant) is no F9 shutdown control. .... JD
