I have located another unknown passenger car in Mobile County Alabama. I will try to get permission from the property owner to photograph it with some details as to its identity. Any information on where to look for numbers or plates to help with the identification and history of this car. I do think it is another Pullman. This is the Google Earth shot of it. Jim
Look for number plates or name plates above or below the windows. Also there could be plates that have a number on them. Above the door there could be something. If the trucks are on the car still see if there is a stamped rr and Date. There are two ARR box cars that PF&S Hobby Supply in Pasco use as a hobby shop, however they are stenciled "BN" on the trucks. Here is an example so you know where to look. Amtrak Passenger Car
Unknown Car Identified I met with the owners of the rail car. I was told that it was purchased by GM&O and made into an "Executive Car" of sorts. I was further told that it had been refurbished after GM&O purchased it and history befor that is unknown. The car was repainted by it's current owners family with Frisco on the side. The lady that I spoke to told me that they would more than likely give it away if someone would talk to them about it as they are wanting it off of the property. She is in rough shape and would need LOTS of rework to look good. Unfortunately there were no markings, plaques, or numbers that I could find.
Would make a great backyard layout car, to bad it would cost so much $$$ to ship it though... :tb-sad: :tb-sad: :tb-sad: :tb-sad:
