This month, we will spotlight Jim's scenery work. He is known for his realistic looking scenery. He build a diorama for me, and let me tell you, I am impressed. Sometimes pictures just doesnt do justice to his work. Here is some pictures of the diorama. Lets see some of Jim's other works.
Yeah he is definitely a great and nice guy! Don't forget his countless hours he spend on ZCS to keep that Forum alive.
Jim's scenery is first rate! I seen modules at the Anaheim NTS that Jim had sceniced, and they really looked great!
Thanks guys. Much appreciated. When I look at these pictures I see how much more difficult it is to do the same level of detail in 75 sq. ft. layout than it is in a 1 1/2 sq. ft. diorama. I'm very impatient and I admit I whip these things out much too quickly. The Northern Division is next and I promise to take as long as it takes to get it right. Oh, and John, is there a big cash prize that goes along with Z modeler of the month statis? Thanks again, Jim CCRR
Always a fan of Jim's work. We have two things in common we both love the MT moguls and we both try and make that MT track look as real as possible.
Apart from Jim's skills to create nice sceneries he is always helpful and answering to thread even it is not his field of expertice! Takes always care!
These photos look good, but I am one of the lucky ones who has seen the layout in real life. The real thing looks MUCH better than these photos !! ...don
Yeh Jim ! Congrats. Lots of great techniques and photos come out of this retired trail blazer. Great layouts too. His moderation a timely remarks on Z Central Station are a great help to the world wide Z scale audience. .
Once again, thanks guys. As most of you know I've been modeling for about 10 years now. Sorry it took me until I was 54 to even have a clue I could do this stuff. As for being the moderator at ZCS, fun, but tough. Thanks again for acknowledging my efforts. Cheers, Jim CCRR
