I didn't mean to take away from Bob's post. I just wish he had done these a couple months earlier. It would have made my life easier. Here is a before shot. Just the backstop and a bleacher.
Excelent work guys, both of you are very tallented. Trouble is if I put all the cool stuff available on my pike I'd have to buy or build a bigger house! 20,000 square feet or so!!!laugh:
Thank all, I'm glad you like the kit. Tony, That is a Great scene you did. Although, I would have expected nothing less from you. Trainguy, The Stainless Steel is etched and assembled with CA Glue. I prefer Zap-A-Gap from Pacer for this. Here is a shot of the kit spue.
Just a bump since I revamped the photos on the first page now that I have started on the scenery base for the diorama. Everything is just at the starting stage. I used real clay from the local fields and a super fine sieve to get the smallest grains. I continue this project after getting back from Springfield.
Nice looking Kit Well Bob you hit the nail on the head with that one also. Nice looking kit and great idea as well. Hummm are goal post (Football)in our future. Or Basketball goals. Would be nice to have a modern Sports Park on the layout. Just food for thought and Items I would surely buy. Got my budget scheduled for the Diamond also.:thumbs_up:
VERY nice! A grand slam right there! How far apart will your bases be? 90 feet or 60 feet? 60 is Little League dimensions, 90 is standard dimensions.
baseball and trains Behind the outfield at Potter Park in La Junta CO is the old ATSF mainline from La Junta to Trinidad. Then there is Runyon Field in Pueblo CO next to an old D&RGW yard. Also, there is a baseball field right next to the Joint Line at Palmer Lake CO. Of course, for the ultimate baseball field next to a railroad line in Colorado, Coors Field, Denver.
