You are not to far away from me. Come to the PSR Cajon Division Meet in Temecula on March 14 or the Western Prototype Modelers Meet in San Bernardino on March 28 and I will buy you a cup of coffee. Now back to humor. Pete Steinmetz

I love this one....so much so I might bid on it for my Chessie layout. http://m.ebay.com/itm/321669432714?nav=SEARCH ATSF caboose in a Chessie box
I was wondering, since this is an N scale eBay humor thread, if the eBay seller of this caboose accidently listed it in the N scale category. http://m.ebay.com/itm/321669432714?nav=SEARCH But no, the eBay listing is under HO, correct for an Athearn HO car. Just happened to be mentioned here. As a Santa Fe modeler, I noticed one lack. The seller displayed photos of the car from two slightly different angles, but both of the same side. One of the most notable spotting characteristics of the Santa Fe prototype is that the two sides are not alike in window arrangements. A more knowledgeable seller would have shown both sides so a prospective buyer could see, "Yes, this is the car I want..." (I call this design of carbody the "Santa Fe 5&3 caboose" because of the 5 windows one side, 3 the other.)

eBay Gender Discrimination! eBay sent me a message that my description of an old Arnold Rapido N scale caboose I was trying to sell did not enough product specifics. They wanted me to correct my listing to specify whether N scale trains are for boys or girls. There are probably more men in model railroading that women, but , but, but. caboose, grrrrrrrrr. Rant!
The world has become utterly ridiculous. With the help of fools such as whoever created the program to send such a notice, it is not getting any better. Why that venue hasn't started to fall apart is simply amazing.
An N scale item that is suitable for all people regardless of age who have an interest in model trains. The term all people is gender neutral, racially neutral, and religiously neutral. If the anal retentive bunch of fools can't handle that then they need to stuff it where the sun doesn't shine.
As I was listing an N Scale Car I used the phrase, "Not in stock at the manufacturer". I guess the word "Stock" set off some bells. I got this big note about making sure what I sold was in stock. Then a bunch of rules, and a threat that my seller status might be in jeopardy if I violated their policies. I went back and changed the phrase to "Not available from the manufacturer". No messages and the listing went through. Interesting.
Was it an actual message or an "alert" on "how to increase sales"? I get those "helpful hints" on the Summary Page about adding International Shipping, offering "Fast 'n Free," completing the item specifics, etc. I'm completely egalitarian about those suggestions... I ignore all of them.
Yup. Exactly. They're seriously overboard with micro-managing that place. I doubt it will ever dawn upon them the magnitude of their far too many mistakes.
Top rated seller! How could you possibly get ripped off? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vtg-ATLAS-N...Switch-Box-empty-connectors-etc-/151601185734
