Rossford Yard This is the northern terminus for the Toledo Subdivision ex Cincinnati Hamilton and Dayton railroad, Rossford Yard, which is located on the south side of Toledo next to the Maumee River. This pic views the old coaling tower and a GE 4 axle w/ two Chessie System cabooses, taken 2-7-2009.
Glendale, OH First pic is on an NS train running on trackage rights. Second, Third pics of southbounds going through Glendale
Stockton, OH Located halfway between Glendale and Hamilton, OH on the Toledo Subdivision with a Northbound freight about to pass me.
I was told this morning that CSX had a 21 car derailment outside of Hamler by the Patrick Henry High School last night/early this morning. P.U.C.O. is either there or in route, and someone from my office is heading there to take pictures and check out the damage. The derailemt occoured at 3 AM, it was 21 coal cars heading from West Virginia to a steel mill in Illinois. There are pictures up on http://www.railohio.com I'll post our pictures when John gets back to the office.
Fostoria, OH Fostoria, Ohio is part of the Toledo Subdivision, right? Anyway, that's a great place to go in Northern Ohio for CSX railfanning....and there's also an NS line there too
The former B&O east/west line is the Willard Subdivision, and the former C&O "north/south" is the Columbus Subdivision south of town and the Pemberville Subdivision north of town. All CSX track right in town surrounding the tower is the Fostoria Subdivision.
oh....I didn't realize the subdivisions were that localized. Perhaps I was confusing them with divisions...
The Willard and Fostoria Subs are part of the Great Lakes Division. The Columbus Sub is part of the Huntington Division. The Pemberville and Garrett Subs are part of the Chicago Division. The Toledo Sub is part of the Louisville Division. Clear as mud?
