I used the Artistic Clear Acrylic Glaze - BLICK art materials
I wondering if I applied too thick of a coat. It still is a milky white but now I'm testing it in another area. This time I spread it on with a paint brush in a thin layer. Is this the correct method? I used WS Realistic water before, and I believe you spread it thicker.

Apply with a paint brush with a size relative to the area you need to cover. In the narrower area of the river in my module, I was using an artist type brush maybe a 1/4" across at the most, then as it widened out, I went to a 1" brush.

Apply just like you were putting on a layer of paint. Just enough to cover the surface. Pouring this on will yield results I am not familiar with. I just never tried it. Remember that you are applying a product that doubles as a glue. If you want to save your brushes, clean them up immediately with soap & water.

This said, I don't think the product you purchased is going to render the results you are looking for. Here's the last statement in the description...

    "...and adds a slight sheen."

You don't want a slight sheen. You want a very high GLOSS
That's why I inserted a picture of the Mod Podge "Gloss-Lustre"!

Rick - Thank you! (and with a sigh of relief)
My first attempt I treated like WS Realistic water, mistake. Unlike Mod Podge, this product doesn't smell, and looks exactly the same. Do you recommend coating it again as you would with paint?

I can't recommend anything because you chose to proceed with a product that I did not recommend. I don't know anything about it, but by the manufacturer's description, he tells you that it won't work. You chose to use it anyway. It's your water man — do it anyway you want.

Envirotex Lite is much less hazardous than any acyrlic-based product. I would strongly recommend reviewing the MSDS sheets for any of these products before using them.
