Hey Russ, This may be a dumb question....but where is the trailing truck-? At the moment it looks like a ten-wheeler. I don't mean to be a smart alec. Have a good one,
Well golly durn, I believe you are correct. I guess I had a senior moment there. It started out life as a Trix 4-6-2 but somehow in the rebuild it lost its trailing truck. So I guess that makes it a Ten Wheeler. Even has the right number for a T&NO 4-6-0. I need to pay better attention to what I am posting.
Here's a couple of buildings I've been working on. Last night I replaced the lights in them then decided to weather them a bit while I was at it. The window glass was cut from those seemingly unopenable Wal-Mart packages. You know the ones, usually containing some $2 or $3 item and almost takes a chain saw to open. The brick mortar was done with white chalk lightly sprayed with Matte-Finish. The overall finish was done an alcohol/black acrylic spray-on wash. The effect is subtle yet effective. First the front: The sides: And the back:
Hey Russ, I've been guilty of that myself. I write before I think it through. I'm my own worst enemy at times. Oh, by the way the TW looks great-! Have a great weekend-!
I've been super busy. Was able to go to the NMRA Pacific Coast Region convention last week. *Great* clinics, great layout tours. But haven't had time to process the pictures yet.
Haven't posted much here lately due to travel. Here's my favorite small ship, a 180-foot, 450 tonner that you will see in any small port.
Some really good work here this weekend. Keep 'em coming! Here's a couple of shots of part of the fence I was working on yesterday. It looks simple. Believe me, it isn't.
Hemi, Its interesting that there in nary a mountain in sight near Moffat road. Oh well, its the spirit of the name, right. Eric
to Ok, so in between the top and bottom photos there were two separate layouts in the room, but that's what I did this weekend - get those modules finished and painted and mounted up, and draw/layout my track plan on them.
Ran some trains on the SAMRA Club H0 scale layout yesterday. The scenery guys will senic this part of the layout next. There is an interesting river and dam to be completed. This is my Atlas FP7.
