This bridge is real close to scale length from the real one that bnsf uses old great northern trackage in central washington. So basically I've been massing what bnsf has.
Welcome to TB. That's a heck of a nice bridge or pair of bridges. I look forward to seeing more pictures of those.
Heath- Welcome to TrainBoard! Do you have a layout plan? Would love to see it! Keep the photos coming. I'm hoping to be rolling across that bridge again this summer on the Empire Builder. Back home to western WA for Seafair, a visit with friends and family. Boxcab E50
The plan is this bridge and then maybe west to the longest tunnel in the us or east and west wenatchee to quincy or so but that one will be copying another layout that was in nsr in 04 I think.
It would be awesome to model from the bridge east, to Trinidad loop, and beyond to Ephrata if ya' have the room. Trust me, modeling a half of a gazillion pine trees over Stevens Pass aint easy, or cheap!! You could also model the Mansfield Branch that veers of a couple miles east of the bridge.
Trinidad loop I think is a must thats kinda why I was thinking wenatchee or appleyard to quincy so I could end at a yard on each end kinda like staging.I just didn't want to cheap'n up on that awesome bridge but that is limiting my space.
I can see that east from Wenatchee would be interesting. But going west would have some neat scenic features as well. The Cascade Division following up the River, through Cashmere, the Chumstick Cutoff and tunnels. Plus feeding traffic off the former Spokane Division Second Sub from Olds Junction north through the Okanogan into BC. Boxcab E50
