After being gone from here for about a year, I am returning and doing well. Alot has happened since the last the time I was here. Have been very busy. Currently, I am deployed to Afghanistan and will be going back home around Feb 2010. But I will try to get back in to the swing of things as best as I can. Just wanted to say hi to all and great to be back.

    Welcome back to Trainboard!

I second those thanks for your service. Please pass on to your fellow service members how greatful we are that you stand watch over our freedom. There are many more of us that feel this way than the media of this country will lead you to believe. So: Don't believe the hype!

We pray for your safe return to the States. There are lots of trains that need playing with and we can't get to them all without your help!

Hey Raymond!! Thanks for what you guy's do, above and beyond the call to duty. From what i've talked to others who are over there, it's very satisfying! Thanks again! And hey, when I'm done with my Model Railroaders, and whatever else train magazines I get, Do ya' want 'em? You can usually have stuff like these sent to ya'? I know it would definetly help my moral!!:teeth: PM me if ya' want, and let me know. A couple bucks for UPS'ing something to ya' aint nothin' for what you and the guy's are sacrificing every day!

Maybe this is a stupid question, but have you seen any trains over there? Do they even have any? It'd be cool to get some photos. Best wishes and stay safe.

trains here?? LOL No they dont have any here. Have not seen any trains since I left the States. Thanks for all the kind words. Again, its good to be back.

I will go ahead and give you all a small brief of what I did have going on in the layout room back at the house. I have all the bench work up for my square figure 8 layout in HO. The room is 11x11 if I remember correct. So yes that means the dreaded duck under. But its aprox 58 inches high so not a real prob. Then under that going all the way around the wall but not blocking the door is my N scale. Still will have to install about half the bench work on that when I return home then all bench work on the N will be complete. Have lots of stuff to do and plenty to keep me busy once I return.

You could always pencil in an awesome drawbridge, instead of the "dreaded duck-under"!:teeth:
