Its probably just my age showing, but I have noticed how easily distracted I have gotten working on my layout. I can be standing there, with an item in my hand, ready to work on it (for whatever reason), and will see a totally different item, on a different area of the bench, and will walk over to it to make the adjustment (with the original item still in my hand)! This afternoon was the worst, I was installing some shelves under the bench to mount the power supplies and boosters, and, with the shelf and brackets still in hand, I found myself removing the finishing nails I used to hold the foam inclines in place while gluing them down. It was only when I had a handful of nails that I realized I still had a shelf in my other!
The two things that go first when you age are: Your memory and hmmm, something... let me think... it was just on the tip of my tongue...
I always thought the senior moment was the walking into the room, and not remembering why, but now I can't remember why I thought that.... What are we talking about?
I'll know there's real trouble when I walk into that room, and am surprised to see trains... Boxcab E50
Or when you've forgotten your keys and, when you find them, you can't remember what they're for. Growing old ungracefully,
Easily distracted? Some times I forget what I going to do for a few seconds but,I aviod having 2 things going at once..I always hated that because you can't get anything done.
I don’t know what you all are talking about. This is how I know I’m having a good time. Have you ever watched a 2 year old in a toy store? They are allover the place having the time of their life. :w20z6q:
too many times has this happened to me. i will get prepared to do one project, start on that project and the next thing you know i am on the opposite side of the layout because something caught my eye at that moment. i think the reason i do this is because i am afraid i will forget something that just pops into my head.
That is definitely a Senior Moment. But wait, depending on your age, it might be a junior moment...LOL Jeff
