Hello ! I have read on this Boards and others , that there are a tremendous amount of us out there that want N Scale Santa Fe GP-60M & GP-60B, not one of the Manufaturers makes them YET, only OVERLAND Brass and they are WAY too expensive. Lets all pull our selves together and start contacting the 3 big makers, ATLAS, ATHEARN & KATO, and let them know just how much we all need these
Locomotives to be produced. I have written to them with the suggestion, there is a dire need amongst us N scalesr for these very popular Engines.
Let the Product Development Departments know that WE WANT THEM.
Come on guys, this is the ONLY WAY it is going to get done anytime soon.
So, lets FLOOD these guys with E-mails, Phone Calls, letters, whatever you can do to get them to act upon our needs and wants. If we all work together we will
be successful, but if we only sit around and WISH they'd do them, it will never get done. SO LETS GET GOING .......thanks ! fatalxsunrider43:thumbs_up:

I promise to finally start those kitbashes I was going to do. That'll be the sure fire way to make the manufacturers do something. ;-)

You would think as much love Intermountain has been showing us ATSF lovers, that they would do them. Pretty sure those CN SD40-2W's are road name unique, so why, with all the scheme variants the GP60Ms/B's have gone through, that they would not be produced? Like I said in an earlier post, there's been a Maersk scheme, warbonnet w/o anti-glare panel, warbonnet w/ anti-glare panel, BNSF patch under the cab number, BNSF on the longhood, and H1 and H2. The B's have warbonnet SF lettering, H2, and one with the wedge logo. Why the heck is no one doing them?

Yep, I'd be in for some. They're the one glaring outage for my 1995 ATSF/SP layout!

Life Like Proto makes the Santa Fe GP60's in N scale. Never mind I see you are looking to revive the GP60M or B.

Weren't Life Like hinting at doing a GP60M back before Walthers bought them out. It would be nice to see them rerun the standard GP60 as well, they haven't been available for years and a DCC ready mechanism would be nice.

This is the biggest hole left on my roster. I'd be in for quite a bunch, at least a dozen.
I still think this will be BLMA's first loco.

as long as you etched the handrails Grant I think you really should look into both the A units and the B's. You should also do SDF40-2's. ;)

PLEASE YOUY GUYS, can I please motivate you to send an e-mail to ATLAS, ATHEARN, & KATO stating that you want N scale GP-60M and GP-60B.
Thats the only way we will ever get these models. Let them know that
we have waited , and waited for them and want them to produce them, its not like its a big deal for them, they already have the Frame and Motor designs, all they need to do is make the shells and paint them.
I am counting on everyone in this N scale hobby to write to them, or to call them, please lets get everyone together and behind this to achieve our goal of an affordable GP-60M & GP-60B. Thanks ! fatalxsunrider43

Now that would be COOL!!! Your F45's were the best thing out there, and the FP45 detail kit was very good too. I would be very interested!!! Nice to see you on the boards, BTW weren't we talking SDF40-2's a few haircuts back?

The excitement is about getting two very popular models made GP-60M and GP-60B in N scale.
Two models that are very much needed by N scale modelers, especially all the SANTA FE folks. The 60M & 60B should be availalbe from at least one of the big 3 Manufacturers. There are probably hundreds and hundreds of N Scalers that would
welcome these at a fair price. Plenty of Santa Fe N scalers that are chompin at the bit for them to be made. ATLAS could certainly do them very easily, Athearn does a SD-75, why not a Santa Fe GP-60M & B, KATO would be wise to also do them.
So, even if your not that jazzed about them, maybe you can help out by sending an e-mail, or making a phone call and just simply making the suggestion. I know I'd appreciate your help. I have a Phone number for ATLAS that is public info on their site
908-687-0880, I am going to be on the phone to them in about 7 hours from now.
Athearns number is on their website, as well as Kato.
So, I'll ask again, your help in the way of an E-mail, or phone call to ask them
if they can put this into Product Development.
Allrighty, thanks in advance everyone, this is a mission for me, and I will NOT
    QUIT until something happens.

Sent Atlas an email. Let's do this! I think I sent Athearn a request a few months ago. Kato just loves the present day boring stuff, so I don't think Kato will do them.
