Rio Grand fans..... Another Video (testing out my Cisco Flip)

It's not bad, still not able to focus on such small objects. Anyway, here's a Rio Grande unit train with a Katy lead unit....

We'll just assume that since the camera couldn't focus that small that they are all different! haha

 

It's not so much about the small objects as it is focal length. None of the Flip cameras have a macro feature. The MinoHD starts its focal length at 31 inches. Not good for model purposes but great for the prototype. They are also very sensitive to light conditions. Better lighting gives better focus. I will try to get some of my videos uploaded over the weekend from last months WGH in Denver.

 

Yeah, i've been shooting still shots with my Nikon D70, but it doesn't do video, so I was thinking about upgrading to the D90... dunno though, that's a lot of money...
