I have done some searches, including Google searches, for N scale figures of professional photographers with large format cameras on tripods and the dark cloth and the whole bit. I have not yet found one. I may end up just having to kitbash one, but I thought I would ask here if anyone is aware of an N scale professional photographer. I am aware of the figures with small, non-tripod-mounted cameras available from a few manufacturers. Thanks in advance, Adam
I know I've seen something like this in HO. Perhaps you can cut the camera and equipment form the HO figure and trim it down a little? I'll try to find a link.
Mark, That might be ideal as the camera would look like a larger format camera in N, like the difference between a 4x5 LF camera versus an 8x10 LF camera.
Here are some for your review they have cameras and are 1/160 scale. There maybe others but stopped when I found these. http://www.rocousa.com/search_resul...ddedEnd=&txtPriceStart=&txtPriceEnd=&txtSale=
I was going to suggest the wedding groups from the Preiser range, but a look at the rocousa site shows they don't have such a model. I'd say the ordinary photographers (of which I have several packs in use) are suitable for "railfans" but not for professionals. Regards, Pete
Pete, That's kind of what I was thinking. They look great for tourists or railfans, but not sort of old school professional photographers. I am thinking that it might not be hard to get a figure that is bent over slightly and then scratchbuild a camera and throw a dark-cloth over the top of the photographers head. It might be my best bet. Adam
that tripod is perfect. I can bash a large format camera on top of it and throw a dark cloth over the guy's head. DING DING DING - a winner!! Thanks!
Isn't there a graveside scene with a large format camera? Sorry, I'm 1400 miles away from my layout tonight.
