Purchases of eBay

Hey all-

Has any one purchased any vehicles from the sellar ID savonart? Has any one purchased some of the M1A1 tanks. I need about 30 to complete a military train and well, I want to know if they pass the 3 foot rule.

 

I bought a slug of undecorated containers from him. Don't know anything about the tanks he has for sale. All I can tell you is he shipped my stuff with very good packaging and his advertising was spot on with what I recieved. On one order there was a small error but he was very quick in correcting it. Probably buy from him again when I get the backlog painted.

I think he is the one that I bought a bunch of "reject" trucks and cars from awhile back. Very good deal. I got a lot of 25 cars, and 25 trucks that he posted as "junk" for about $20 (with shipping) for the lot. I think they were some he picked out that he wasn't pleased with the casting for one reason or another. More than half of them looked fine, and the others may have had a bubble, or fender or something missing from a bad pour, but it was a really good deal, and like I said, most of them looked fine enough to paint up as operational vehicles on the layout. The others made fine abandoned cars, or junk yard fodder.. I was pleased, because I expected allot worse, because he did advertise them as "junk" cars...

 

Thanks guys! I figured it was best to find out based on experinces. He looks like a decent seller and the prices are right. Its nice to find some M1A1's, hummers and the like to build that military train. Need to start sourcing some 89' flats... any one got some of those old con cors for sale

 

Man, too bad you didn't need those a few months ago.. I dumped ALLOT of my old con cor stuff on ebay in "lots".. And there were several 85' flats in there. Man, those were going for a couple bucks each in the large lots I was dumping them in.. I would have loved to see fellow trainboarders get those deals I was unloading..
