Ok, I've been trying to wrap my head around where we are in the time line on this thing.

I have the 3-car runner pack for the sleepers, and I see the 3-car runner pack for the flats was just released, and the stock cars are scheduled for release in July..

Where I'm a little fuzzy is they're showing a 6 car "Red" set ( Micro-Trains The Ultimate in N and Z scale model trains ) that from all indications SHOULD have been released already but apparently wasn't? Anyone know where things stand on that? :tb-confused:

The original set has been delayed twice for one reason or another. Last reports would be that it would be here end of June but that is open to debate. I am guessing it is a similar issue that they had with the battleship sets, sourcing the packaging. The tin box that the last battleship set came in is what delayed it.

Just got runner Pack 39, the three flat car set. The lame packaging it has, explains why they are having packaging problems with the six car set. The three flat cars come in one 89' flat car box, the six circus wagons come in another 89' flat car box. And the pathetic "tent pole" load (RBBB has not had tent poles for 54 years, looks like a huge pipe load, more wagons would have been better) is just loose in the standard Runner Pack cardboard box.

Could they also be suffering from lack of orders after modelers see that the first releases, while reasonable, are not quite what you'd expect from MTL? Seems like MTL are directing all their best R&D efforts toward the heavyweights.
