I live not even a quarter mile from that very spot! I hear trains going in both directions all night and all day. It is pretty cool. If I look at the right angle from my front porch I can see the trains on the CSX line coming through.
Specter, thanks for posting that. Is that the Opelika depot in the background? If so, is it still in use or am I seeing boarded up windows? :question:
It is in use. One part is still used by CSX. The center part is restored and a small part is empty the last time I was there.
