Here is my HO scale model of a milw. tall cupola caboose #01265. prototype picture can be found in the MRHA book Wooden Caboose by Jeff Kehoe. model was kitbashed from an old Silver Streak kit.
Sure looks like it would be top heavy. I guess they had different ideas in the long ago. Boxcab E50
Nice work, Andy! It looks a lot different in 3D form than it does in the book photos. My family up in the holler in TN would consider a two story house...or a condo...on wheels..that way when the fuedin' starts, you can move on. -Mark
Ken, I don't know the exact date of the kit but the instructions were printed in 1948. Mark, When I seen the picture of it and how close to the kit it was I just had to have one.
I know...I want a 28' and a few others....but alas, it will be via the Evergreen Styreneyard and the box of details. Still working on the 1/87 dry hopper seat...and that toilet paper holder. -Mark
Thanks! I needed that. I was thinking on acquiring a couple of sets of Faller's LARD-BUTT MIDWESTERNER figure series, and then carefully use them to burnish down the seat-two cheeks at a time. Mark PS-Sorry, Andy..don't mean to hijack the post.
