The first detail parts are in place....lifting eyes are not good vissible lost 4 had 8 installed. Grab irons on the front and rear will be installed after applying decal stripes. But first I have to learn how to use an airbrush. :)

...a Sunday afternoon struggling with some styrene...
...resulted in the plow for the 3045 GP35.

    To be continued.

Front pilot closed and plow installed.

Front pilot closed and plow installed. The MTL coupler is screwed to a piece of brass (which turned out to work better than styrene), which is glued to the body with some CA.
    To be continued.

After getting used to my airbrush (UP CA4. centerbeam, WP 503 SW1), I continued with my D&RGW 3045 project. Now the rear pilot is closed and the body parts are in primer now.

Nice build. Always interesting to see how things are modeled. Keep up the good work.

    Hi all,

    Finaly my D&RGW GP35 3045 is finished...

    - Started with an undecorated MTL GP35,
    - Pilots and plow made out of Evergreen styrene,

    - Aspen gold = self mixed from Humbrol 154 with red,
    - BMLE detail parts,<br>
    - MTL couplings,
    - Home made decals,
    - Several layers of Microscale gloss and flat,
