Two H-Liners custom-assembled and painted by Jeff Briggs of Victoria. They are Kaslo Kits on Atlas mechanisms. These 2 now bring my H-liner fleet to 10 and they are my pride and joy. md
"Newest" locos Call me addicted. My last post described that I bought 2 Rivarossi Mallets for $100 total which were pristine new from the recently deceased LHS owner private stock. My friend called me from his cell phone this afternoon, and reported that more Rivarossi N Mallets and Berkshires were put out on the shelf. I called and reserved another Mallet and a Berkshire. I believe this is probably my last chance to get such mint condition great running locos from that era, especially at that price. I will be there tomorrow morning at 10 when they open. Geezzzz, retirement is beautiful!!!!!!! BTW, these Rivarossi Mallets are now broken in, MT's installed and outpulling their LifeLike Heritage counterpart, but both are OK from this guy's POV. Con-cor 2-10-2 originally Erie, but converted the tender to oil, added ATSF decals, weathered it, and hard-wired tender for better power pick-up. Just noticed the rear drivers are out of line! Must have slipped 1 tooth when I had it apart!
I just bought on of those it the bachmann spectrum non dcc paid 29.00 new at a train show from a vender.
I just got this in the mail from bachmann. I'd bought a box full of N scale stuff awhile back for little of nothing an there was one of these in it with a bent wheel. Sent it an the $15 m.o. in on 12-31 an just got it back yesterday. I've also got the tender that went with the old loco I sent in, an it is in perfect shape. Just a different Santa Fe # 3780. I'd like to trade it for a shell for one of the little 4-4-0 locos of theirs. Mine has the cowcatcher gone off of the one I have Sorry about the bad pic, was in a hurry awhile ago
"Aniversery Gift" Laura and I are celebrating 2 years together so when at the LHS today I picked up something I was sure she would love: Kato Norfolk Southern SD70. She was really nice about it and even ran it on the layout.
Glad to see you got your NS locomotive, I know you were eyeing them at Springfield. Congratulations on your two years with Laura!
