Other than brass, does anyone know of a source for a CA 11 UP caboose?? How about a shell??

The only accurate Union Pacific CA11 caboose is the brass model made by Overland, and it is very good.

Key made one too, there's one on ebay right now for $250+ shipping. No, its not mine and I nothing about the seller, just saying.

Wasn't Fox Valley making some cabeese, brass kits or something along those lines. I know I saw some Milw and MoPac cabooses somewhere and thought the CA-11 might have been one being done too. They were between $30 and $50, I can't seem to find them now though.

Oops! My mistake, the model of the Union Pacific CA 11 Caboose was indeed made by Key, and not Overland. Sorry 'bout that.

Fox Valley was planning to make the Missouri Pacific Bay-Window caboose, in brass, similar to, but not a CA 11, however it has never been made. They still show them on their website, and I ordered two but no results yet. They also still list on their website a Milwaukee Road Transfer caboose but it never got built either.

I know about the one on EBay...that is why I said not brass. Seems there should be something close out there somewhere.

I think I'd wait and see what the Traincat one will sell for, even if you have to paint it yourself. If you keep an eye out for them at swap meets and hobby shops, I've seen many undec brass caboose go for low $$, some as low as $50.

Traincats should be about that much, and his kits are very detailed and very nice! It would be worth the wait for his. :)

Go to the left side where it says 'Baywindow cabooses' and it will show you a picture of the kits. :)

Steve, you could make this from a 40' box and a Model Power side cupola caboose from the picture. Not real hard just a little cutting and gluing.
